About Us

Hi, I’m Livvy, the owner and founder of Berner Bakes! 

Berner Bakes began as a thought in 2021, and after almost a year of research, it was finally founded in early 2022. What started as a hobby to make healthy treats for my dogs soon turned into baking regularly for family and friends. That’s when I realised my true passion for baking and making sure all dogs had access to the best quality treats!

We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful team of family and friends who have been instrumental in shaping Berner Bakes into what it is today. A huge thank you to Caroline, our main baker and my right-hand person, Graham (dad), our design consultant, Rosalia, our social media whiz, Frances (mum), Pat (mum-in-law) and Sophie, our packing and dispatch team, and of course, we cannot forget Simon (hubby), who takes on everything thrown in front of him!

We are also blessed with an amazing in house taste testing team, Lucas the Bernese Mountain Dog, Sami the Romanian Rescue and our most recent addition, little Biscuit, the Cavapoo.

A question we often get is, ‘Where did our company name come from?’ We’ve been so lucky to own Bernese Mountain Dogs for more than twenty years. Our name is a special way of honouring our cherished Bernese Mountain Dogs, both those who have come before and those who are still with us today 🐾 

We make sure our products are free from any additives, preservatives, artificial colours or flavours, and we only use ingredients that are safe for humans because our pups deserve nothing but the best! 😋. Because so many people have asked, we are also offer a range of Anco Natural meat treats to include tiny bites through to long lasting chews.

It is such a joy to share my love for dogs and baking with you all, and seeing so many pups enjoy my treats is a truly wonderful feeling! 🐶.
